Kenji sings—of the death of a loved one, and the journey those left behind must walk.
The trilogy of poems—“Morning of Final Farewell” “Pine Needles,” and “Voiceless Lament”—is a heartfelt expression of Kenji’s deep love and sorrow for his younger sister, Toshi. With the full devotion of his craft, Hideki Chihara—who has long brought Kenji’s words to life through music—has now completed this trilogy as a three-part a cappella choral work.
Together with the compositions of Rikuya Terashima, whose music gently weaves the sounds that echo Kenji’s gaze, filled with love for the nature and people of his hometown Hanamaki, we draw closer to the living voice of Kenji himself.
